Will an XRP and Cardano ETF Launch Soon? Here’s What the Experts Say

The crypto world is buzzing with anticipation over the potential approval of spot Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) for popular cryptocurrencies like XRP and Cardano (ADA). Following the landmark approval of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, the focus has now shifted to the next wave of digital assets.

A recent analysis by ETF expert Nate Geraci, president of NovaDius Wealth Management, suggests that the approval of an XRP and Cardano ETF could be closer than many think.

The “Generic Listing Standards” and the Path to Approval

Geraci’s optimistic view is rooted in a strategic shift at the SEC. Major exchanges like the NYSE, NASDAQ, and CBOE have filed for “generic listing standards” for crypto ETFs. This move would create a standardized, streamlined rulebook, potentially paving the way for a faster, “batch” approval process for multiple funds. Instead of a piecemeal approach, a new regulatory framework could open the floodgates for a wave of new crypto investment products.

While the approval of a multi-asset crypto ETF including XRP and Cardano was recently paused by the SEC for further review, there is a clear trend toward greater regulatory clarity. The passing of the Genius Act and ongoing progress on the Digital Asset Clarity Act signal a more accommodating environment for digital assets.

Strong Market Demand and Institutional Interest

The drive for these new ETFs is fueled by overwhelming market demand. Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have seen billions in inflows, demonstrating a strong appetite for regulated crypto investment vehicles. According to estimates from financial giant JPMorgan, an XRP and Solana ETF alone could attract between $3 billion and $8 billion in new investments.

This institutional interest is not just theoretical. Grayscale, a major digital asset manager, has taken steps to advance its plans for a Cardano spot ETF, and firms in Canada have already launched XRP and Solana ETFs, signaling a growing global trend.

High Confidence in Prediction Markets

The optimism isn’t limited to traditional finance. Prediction market sites like Poly Market show high confidence in the approval of these ETFs. The odds for a Cardano spot ETF by the end of 2025 are currently around 85%, with an XRP spot ETF at 79%, reflecting a strong belief among market participants that these approvals are a matter of “when,” not “if.”

While the exact timeline remains uncertain, the combination of regulatory tailwinds, massive market demand, and proactive filings by asset managers paints a compelling picture for the future of XRP and Cardano ETFs. As always, it’s crucial for investors to conduct their own research and exercise caution, as the crypto market remains highly volatile.
